Kotaiba was 17 years old when he left a war zone, crossed Europe and the Mediterranean and tried to jump on to a train in Calais. In 2016 he was allowed to join his family in London. BBC followed him during his first year in the UK, as a 17 year old – and turning 18 – in London.
